We are looking for a Desktop Support Administrator (m/f/x) to join our office in Vienna. This job offers a perfect opportunity to be part of a young and international team.

YOUR MAIN TASKS

  • Set up and install PC hardware (Windows), peripherals, mobile devices/phones and software systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot computer issues.
  • Maintain hardware and software by conducting regular maintenance and updates.
  • Upgrade firmware, software, and outdated hardware systems.
  • Perform life-cycle changes of hardware and systems.
  • Provide technical support (remote/onsite) to users and clients, resolve technical errors (1st/2nd/3rd level) for Ventus Group Offices in Vienna, Branch Offices, Remote- and Home office workers.
  • Support IT team in regular maintenance and support activities on overall IT infrastructure environment (Network, Servers, Storage, Internet and more).
  • Prepare technical documents, such as error and maintenance reports.
  • Create user documents and provide to users basic introductions and trainings on new computer systems.
  • Track all IT equipment in the central IT Asset Management Database (CMDB). Maintain accurate inventory controls and status.
  • Manage software licenses and hardware inventories, continuous Hardware and Software stock management and preparation of proposals for orders.
  • IT systems administration duties as assigned.
  • Maintain Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, OneDrive, Autopilot/MDM, Azure AD, Users/Groups, GAL, etc.)
  • Monitor IT Security alerts (Microsoft 365) with immediate reaction in case of IT security incidents/breaches on the PC/User side.
  • Advanced Support in Business Projects (e.g. RBPM-Project) in all IT Infrastructure related areas

YOUR PROFILE

  • Completed study in the field of Information Technology (HTL, College, Apprenticeship) or other relevant education. MUST HAVE!
  • Min. 1 year of working experience in a related field as a support administrator. MUST HAVE!
  • Deep Microsoft Software experience, esp. Windows 10/11, Office (365). MUST HAVE!
  • Knowledge in the whole IT Infrastructure environment and how the system and technologies work together.
  • Basic experience in Linux System Administration (Debian / Ubuntu).
  • Willingness to learn new things, structured, analytical way of thinking and ability to multi-task.
  • Good written and spoken English skills, as this is the corporate working language. MUST HAVE!
  • Good written and spoken German skills.
  • Well-organized, team worker, with a customer-oriented approach, curious, resourceful, accurate and with a problem-solving attitude to work.

  • According to the Austrian law we must indicate the minimum gross annual salary for this position, which would be € 39.000 (based on 40 hours/week, 14 pay checks), however, we are ready to pay more depending on your qualification, experience and individual competencies.

Due to the onboarding necessity, the candidate is required to have a valid EU work permit.
