We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer (m/f/x) to join our team in Vienna, Austria. You will be part of various international projects and use Ventus proprietary solutions. Moreover, you will have the “front row seat” and direct involvement in the R&D solutions created by Ventus, thus, getting the chance to participate in installations of innovative sensor technology.

YOUR TASKS

• You will be an integral part of the product creation process, from architecture and design to firmware development, debugging & testing
• Design, build and maintain modular, tested, and clean code
• Understand and troubleshoot embedded systems
• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide feedback
• Understand the necessity to maintain quality documentation, clean code, and effective test cases
• Collaborate with the hardware engineers to ensure that the firmware and hardware are properly aligned

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Embedded C/C++
• BS/MS degree in CS/EE or equivalent
• Clear understanding of the software development lifecycle
• Experience working with source control, Atlassian suite and MS suite or equivalent
• Experience working with wired and wireless communication protocols
• Clear understanding of clean code and clean architecture principles
• Ability to write clear and concise documentation
• Fluent communication skills in English, as this is the corporate working language

• According to the Austrian law we must indicate the minimum gross annual salary for this position, which would be € 42,000 (based on 40 hours/week, 14 pay checks), however, we are ready to pay more depending on your qualification, experience, and individual competencies

Candidate must have a valid EU work permit and be willing to relocate to Vienna
